Writing in Edison
Central Middlesex County has one of the highest concentrations of South Asian families in the United States. Iselin's Oak Tree Road corridor and Edison's South Asian community networks are among the most active in the country. J.P. Stevens consistently ranks among the top New Jersey public high schools and sends a high percentage of students to selective universities. Programs for Edison students
Elementary and middle school students from Edison and Woodbridge Township typically start with LTWN 360. J.P. Stevens and East Brunswick students preparing for the SAT verbal section enroll in our Test Prep program. Seniors targeting Rutgers Honors, NJIT, or out-of-state selective programs use our College Admission Essay program starting in June of junior year.

New Jersey Student Learning Assessments (NJSLA) ELA
Grades 3 to 9
Replaced PARCC in 2021. Tests reading comprehension, literary analysis, and constructed written response. Grade 10 and above take PSAT/SAT instead.

Grades 9 to 12
New Jersey administers the SAT as its 11th-grade assessment. J.P. Stevens and East Brunswick students regularly target top verbal scores.

Do you work with students in the Woodbridge Township district as well?
Yes. We work with families across Edison Township, Woodbridge Township (including Iselin, Colonia, and Avenel), East Brunswick, Piscataway, and Old Bridge. All of our classes are online, so school district doesn't affect placement.
How does LTWN align with the NJSLA ELA assessment?
The NJSLA tests reading comprehension, literary analysis, and written response from grades 3 to 9. Our LTWN 360 curriculum builds exactly those skills year over year. Students who spend two or more years in the program consistently report feeling well-prepared for grade-level writing expectations in their district.
My child wants to target a high SAT verbal score for selective admissions. Is Test Prep the right fit?
For J.P. Stevens, East Brunswick, and Edison High students targeting selective programs, the verbal section is often the deciding factor. Our Test Prep program targets the SAT Reading and Writing sections with a focus on precision, strategy, and consistent practice. Students see meaningful score improvement in one to two semesters.
