Writing programs for Princeton and West Windsor-Plainsboro students, Grades 2 to 12.
Small online classes. Expert instruction. Familiar with WW-P, Princeton High, and the selective admissions path.
Writing in Princeton
West Windsor-Plainsboro and Princeton Public are two of the most rigorous public school systems in New Jersey. WW-P High School North and South regularly place students at Ivy League and comparable universities. The student body skews toward Indian, Chinese, and Korean professional families connected to Princeton University, the pharmaceutical corridor, and the Route 1 tech belt. Parents in this community think about university admissions from early in middle school, and they expect enrichment programs that match the academic culture at WW-P. Students here are typically already capable writers. They come to LTWN to develop the analytical depth and authentic voice that wins selective admissions, not to catch up.
Programs for Princeton students
Younger students use LTWN 360 to build the foundation their WW-P teachers will reward in later grades. SAT Test Prep is popular from 8th grade onward. College Admission Essays is in high demand from WW-P and Princeton High juniors, particularly those targeting Ivy League, Carnegie Mellon, and UC Berkeley for engineering and pre-med tracks.

New Jersey ELA assessments
These are the assessments Princeton students take. LTWN builds the skills each one tests.

AP English Language and Composition / AP Literature
Grades 11 to 12
WW-P North and South both run strong AP English programs. The essay writing and close reading skills demanded in AP English are the same skills LTWN teaches from elementary school up.
Against all odds, I, a student with five Bs in core classes, secured a coveted spot in Northwestern University's Pre-Med Program in Neurosciences. To say this was a dream come true would be an understatement - it was nothing short of a miracle. And that miracle came in the form of Learn To Write Now.

Questions from Princeton parents
My child is already a strong student at WW-P. Would LTWN be too basic?
The majority of our Princeton and WW-P students are already strong in school. LTWN is not remedial. The program is designed to build analytical writing and close reading skills beyond what any public school can offer in a class of 25. Students at WW-P who want to write well enough for Ivy League admissions essays need practice writing under expert feedback, not just good grades.
How early should we start the College Admission Essay program?
We recommend starting with Pre-CAE in March of junior year. Most WW-P families who wait until September find spots are full and their student is writing supplemental essays under deadline pressure. Beginning in March gives students time to develop an authentic personal narrative, which is what admissions readers remember.
Do you cover AP English essay writing as well?
The skills we build in our writing program directly support AP English Language and Literature. Evidence-based essays, rhetorical analysis, thesis construction, and revision under feedback are central to both programs. Students in LTWN who take AP English tend to perform well on the exam and in the course itself.
