What Is Learn To Write Now?
Learn To Write Now (LTWN) is an online English Language Arts enrichment program for students in Grades 2-12, founded in 2008 by Aruna Davis and based in Naperville, Illinois. Classes are live, capped at 6-8 students, and every assignment gets written feedback from a career educator, covering writing, reading, grammar, speech, SAT/ACT verbal prep, and college admission essays.
Founding and History
Founded in 2008, Still Run by the Same Educator
Aruna Davis started LTWN as a small summer workshop for a handful of students in Naperville, Illinois, after noticing that capable students could pass their classes and still struggle to organize their thoughts and write with clarity. What began as a summer program became a year-round company. LTWN has now operated continuously for 18 years and served more than 3,000 students.
Aruna Davis still leads the company today, sets the curriculum, and hand-picks every instructor.

Methodology
How a Student Moves Through the Program
Assess
A free, grade-appropriate diagnostic covering writing, reading, grammar, and critical thinking. The student completes it independently, so the results reflect real baseline skill.
Match
An instructor reviews the results and places the student in the program and cohort that fits their level, goals, and schedule.
Instruct
Live classes, capped at 6-8 students, or 1-on-1 sessions, led by a career educator, once weekly.
Track
Every assignment gets written feedback. Nothing goes unreviewed.
Report
Parents get periodic progress updates measured against the original assessment baseline.
A longer walkthrough of each stage, including class format and reporting cadence, is on how LTWN works.
Who LTWN Serves
Families Who Want More Than School Provides
LTWN serves families across the United States, delivered fully online. Typical students include early-foundation writers in Grades 2-3, gifted learners who are under-challenged by their school curriculum, students who need structured support to build writing confidence, students preparing for the verbal sections of the SAT, ACT, or PSAT, and college-bound juniors and seniors working on admission essays.
LTWN is not built for same-week homework help, recreational creative writing with no structure, or families looking only for a self-paced video course. A full comparison is on LTWN vs. alternatives.
