The AP English Workshop is LTWN’s semester-long program for students in Grades 11 (AP English Lang) and 12 9AP English Literature) looking to develop their rhetorical and test-taking skills. Through demanding exercises and rigorous class discussions, students will learn to read intentionally and build persuasive arguments. Small class sizes and passionate educators ensure that your student will receive individualized attention as they hone their approach to the test. In AP English, your child will further mold their style and writer’s voice–one that is critical, thoughtful, well-researched, and ready for collegiate success.
Any college-bound junior or senior would benefit from taking the AP English Language Workshop. Not only will our lessons bring them one step closer to scoring a perfect 5 on test day, but they’ll also learn the analytical and rhetorical skills necessary to tackle college-level courses.
Students in the AP English Workshop will learn how to:
Students in the AP English Workshop meet weekly for 75-minutes over Zoom. In addition, we utilize Google Classroom, Kami, and our LTWN App to deliver mini-lessons and daily writing prompts. This semester-long program runs during our Fall, Winter/Spring, and Summer sessions.
Students in the AP English Workshop will improve their mastery of the written word while strengthening their reasoning and analytical skills. They’ll also improve their test-taking skills, providing a basis that will serve them on the SAT, ACT, and other AP tests.
And that’s just the beginning! LTWN always watches out for your child and supports parents and students along their academic journeys.
As the late and great Maya Angelou once said, “I did then what I knew how to do. Now that I know better, I do better.” Here at LTWN, we hold Angelou’s words as a flame of truth. We are eager to see what your child can do today so that we may guide them to be their very best tomorrow.
