The Grammar & Essays Workshop is LTWN’s semester-long program for students in Grades 6 through 9 looking to develop their technical writing skills. Through small classes led by passionate educators, students will learn to craft compelling essays and catch common grammatical errors. They’ll build the foundational skills to succeed in academic and professional writing while fostering a love of words and the rules that dictate proper speech.
We recommend taking our Reader’s and Writer’s Workshops before our Grammar & Essays Workshop. This course combination exposes your child to the most vital writing foundation possible!

Students in the Grammar and Essay Workshops meet weekly for 75-minutes over Zoom. In addition, we utilize Google Classroom, Kami, and our LTWN App to deliver mini-lessons and daily writing prompts. This semester-long program runs during our Winter/Spring, and Summer sessions.
You will be amazed by your child’s new economy of language. Their exposure to an array of essay topics will allow them to undertake the rewarding process of self-discovery, allowing them to uncover thought-provoking themes and ideas. In better understanding the conventions of grammar, your child will better grasp how to construct meaning and write with nuance/clarity.
And that’s just the beginning! LTWN always watches out for your child and supports parents and students along their academic journeys.
As the late and great Maya Angelou once said, “I did then what I knew how to do. Now that I know better, I do better.” Here at LTWN, we hold Angelou’s words as a flame of truth. We are eager to see what your child can do today so that we may guide them to be their very best tomorrow.
