The Honors/Pre-AP English Workshop is LTWN’s semester-long program for motivated students in Grades 9 and 10 looking to develop their rhetorical and test-taking skills. Through demanding exercises and rigorous class discussions, students will learn to read intentionally and write precisely and concisely. Small class sizes and passionate educators ensure that your student receives individualized attention as they hone their approach to difficult texts and essay prompts. Your child will further mold their style and writer’s voice–one that is critical, thoughtful, well-researched, and ready for collegiate success.
Any high-achieving or ambitious freshman or sophomore would benefit from taking the Honors/Pre-AP English Language Workshop. Not only will our lessons bring them one step closer to scoring a perfect 5 on future AP tests, but they’ll also learn the analytical and rhetorical skills necessary to tackle college-level courses.

Students in the Honors/Pre-AP English Workshop will improve their mastery of the written word while strengthening their reasoning and analytical skills. They’ll also improve their test-taking skills, providing a basis that will serve them on the SAT, ACT, and other AP tests.
And that’s just the beginning! LTWN always watches out for your child and supports parents and students along their academic journeys.
As the late and great Maya Angelou once said, “I did then what I knew how to do. Now that I know better, I do better.” Here at LTWN, we hold Angelou’s words as a flame of truth. We are eager to see what your child can do today so that we may guide them to be their very best tomorrow.
