The Writers’ Workshop is LTWN’s summer program for students in Grades 2 through 7 looking to develop their composition skills. Through small classes led by passionate educators, students will learn to write with attention and intention. They’ll build the necessary foundations to succeed in academic and professional writing all while fostering a love of words. The Writers' module is included in the LTWN 360 and Foundation workshops during the school year.
Any student could benefit from extra writing instruction! We’re here to challenge students who are bored by their school’s curriculum as well as give a boost to students who need a little extra help outside of class. The Writers’ Workshop is perfect for any student looking for a fun yet rigorous opportunity to strengthen their communication skills.
Students in the Writers’ Workshop will learn how to:
Students in the Writers’ Workshop meet weekly for 75-minutes over Zoom. In addition, we utilize Google Classroom, Kami, and our LTWN App to deliver mini-lessons and daily writing prompts. This semester-long program runs during our Fall, Winter/Spring, and Summer sessions.
Students in the Writer’s Workshop will improve their mastery of English while strengthening their reasoning and analytical skills. As a result, they’ll be able to better brainstorm ideas and thoughtfully organize them, preparing them for future academic and professional writing.
Our Writer’s Workshop is also the perfect class to take before our Grammar & Essays Workshop. This course combination exposes your child to the strongest writing foundation possible!
And that’s just the beginning! LTWN always watches out for your child and supports parents and students along their academic journeys.
As the late and great Maya Angelou once said, “I did then what I knew how to do. Now that I know better, I do better.” Here at LTWN, we hold Angelou’s words as a flame of truth. We are eager to see what your child can do today so that we may guide them to be their very best tomorrow.
